Join the Orcas Swim Team

The OAC Orcas Swim Team is open to both new and experienced swimmers. With a flexible practice schedule, members can enjoy swimming without compromising other activities. We would love to have you join us for a season of fun, fitness, and friendly competition!

Swim Team Levels and Pricing

We offer two swim teams to suit different goals and abilities:

Orcas Recreation Swim Team: A fun, skill-building team for swimmers who enjoy a supportive, low-pressure competitive environment. Perfect for swimmers who want to improve their technique, stay active, and enjoy friendly competition. This team focuses on confidence-building and skill development without the intensity of year-round competition.

O.A.S.T. Competitive Swim Team: A structured, high-level training program for dedicated swimmers looking to compete at a higher level. Designed for swimmers looking to take their training to the next level, O.A.S.T. offers advanced coaching, endurance training, and race strategy development. USA Swimming registration is required.

Team Structure & Tryouts: Both teams have three levels based on age and skill to ensure the right fit. All new swimmers must complete a tryout before registering—please do not sign up until approved by a coach.

Our Swim Team Coaches

Joe Kozlina
Head Coach
Swimming has been a lifelong passion, from competing at Hopewell High School and the University of Pittsburgh to becoming an 11-time Big East Champion, two-time Team MVP, and a 1992 Olympic Trials Qualifier in the 50-meter freestyle. I still hold multiple records at both Hopewell and Pitt. I’ve coached at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Seneca Valley, and Hampton Dolphins Aquatic Club, helping swimmers of all levels grow in the sport. Outside the pool, I served over 20 years with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, retiring as Assistant Deputy Chief of the Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, and now work as a Regulatory Affairs Manager at McKesson Corporation.
